We are notan agency.
Syntris Labs is a full-stack digital studio — engineering, brand, strategy, and identity operating as one practice. Not three departments with three Slack channels and three invoices arriving in the same week.
We started this because we kept watching good businesses get handed between a strategy team, a dev team, and a creative team who operated in complete isolation. The result was always the same: beautiful things that didn't perform, or functional things that had no coherent identity behind them.
Based in Sri Lanka. Working with founders who have real problems to solve, globally. We respond within 12 hours — usually faster, we just prefer to under-promise and over-deliver.
Not a production house.
We take time to understand the brief fully before we act on it. Often what a business asks for and what it truly needs are different — we work to understand which problem is the real one before any work begins.
Not a growth hacker.
Anyone promising 10× growth in 90 days has very creative definitions of both "10×" and "90 days." We build things that compound — digital systems that earn their next brief by actually performing, not by looking great in a report six weeks after launch.
Not a vendor.
We co-own outcomes. If we build something that looks incredible but doesn't convert, that's not a win — it's expensive decoration. Success metrics go in the contract. We stay through launch, through iteration, until the system proves it deserves to exist.
Diagnose
We start by questioning the brief — politely but relentlessly. If you came in saying "I need a rebrand," we'll probably find out you needed clearer positioning first. Most requests are symptoms. We find the actual problem.
Architect
Structure before aesthetics. We map information architecture, user behavior, and system design before a single screen is drawn. Your users will benefit from decisions they'll never consciously notice. That's exactly the point.
Build
Code and design move in parallel — typed, tested, documented so the next developer who touches this inherits clarity, not a labyrinth of "TODO: fix this" comments and undocumented API calls.
Calibrate
We don't disappear after handoff. Analytics, behavior audits, and iteration until the system earns its place. We're in it through launch and beyond — because post-launch is where most projects actually succeed or quietly die.
Six statements
of practice.
Software should make people feel capable, not confused. If a new user needs a guide to figure out your product, the product — not the user — is the problem.
We design what the interface does before we decide what it looks like. Behavior first, pixels second — every time, without exception.
Most features go unused. We focus on what is truly essential so what gets built is lean, purposeful, and straightforward to maintain for years to come.
A system that lasts seven years costs less than three systems that each last two. We build for the long game — which means saying no to shortcuts that feel productive in the sprint and hurt in the quarter.
Kerning is a moral question. So is the shape of an empty state. So is the silence before a toast notification. Details are not optional.
We work with founders and teams building things they genuinely care about. If you want a partner who is invested in the outcome — not just the deliverable — let's talk.
